Swami Vidyadhishanada Giri

Delightful Himalayan Monk

Returning to Houston

for Public Events & Lecture

August 22 – Sept. 11th

Dear Friends,

Please join Swami Vidhdhishananda as he returns to Houston this August 2010 for a series of public events and discourses hosted by a number of esteemed institutions and fellowships.

Swami Vidyadhishananda is a Kryia yogi and an extraordinary scholar of Sanskrit and the ancient Vedic scripts. He is frequently hailed as an emissary of peace and for lucidly disseminating Sanskritic wisdom-teaching for the benefit of modern society.

I have had the honor to hear many of his discourses and to teach retreats and vinyasakrama yoga asana workshops to hundreds of his students, he is sincere, humorous and truly a delightful enlightened being.

Swami V is an ordained yoga master trained in the Himalayan Mountains who at one time lived and worked in California before becoming an ordained monk. His monastery is now located in Santa Barbara Calif.  It is with this familiarity of the western culture that he is able to give passionate discourses in perfect English on the urgency of our individual and collective consciousness as it pertains to healing ourselves and our planet through the wise and time tested teachings of the ancient Vedic texts.

Two special events are being offered for the first time by the Nonprofit's Houston Chapter:

  • an evening of Classical Dance and Spiritual Banquet (Kalarashmi) on Aug 27th honoring

  • the Vedic heritage, and a Vedic Fire Ceremony or yajna (vedanjali) for healing & harmony, peace & plenitude on Sept 11th.

hope to see you there,

Peace,

Pam Johnson
